Course description and aims

This course is to make assessment for study-abroad experience of more than 30 days to less than 40 days.
Pass/Fail is based on study abroad plan, study abroad, report and final presentation.
It is aimed that through oversea experience, one can obtain skills mentioned in the goal below.
In case you wish to earn credits at their study abroad destination and have them approved as the credit of Tokyo teck,you have to take the 1-credit "LAW.X104 Overseas Training for Global Scientists and Engineers Basic 1C" for study abroad experience regardless of the period.

Student learning outcomes

1) Actively participate in program to relate with student's own clear plan.
2) Participate in students exchange activities and discuss with people from different countries, languages, customs and cultures with diverse perspectives
3) To be able to explain general information about selected countries, such as their history and culture. Positively act to deepen the learning on selected countries to make references for his/her own study-abroad and career plan.
The above-mentioned goals are expected to achieve at more basic level than in the course "LAW.X311:Overseas Training for Global Scientists and Engineers 3C".

Class flow

The student will participate in activities for gaining oversea experience through overseas training progarms.
The students have to submit study abroad plan when participation will be fixed.
Upon return, the student is requested to submit the report and deliver final presentation.
(both Japanese and English are acceptable) .

4) Details of the activities (Debate, seminar, lectures, site visits, etc),

6) Explanation on how your field of expertise and this study-abroad experience has developed your skills described in course objectives. What kind of preparation you think will be necessary to develop such skills in your near future,
7) Personal essay
Report A4 5-10 pages (including figures and photos), Presentation for 10 min.

Priority will be put on students who have registered for Global Scientists and Engineers Course.
Before registering the course, student have to contact Promotion Office for Global Human Resource Development, and should have specific overseas training program provided by the university or partner institutions to participate and be accepted, or should gain agreement with his/her supervisor.
