The overview of the technology management will be lectured. In order to create economic and social value on the basis of science and technology, not only the knowledge of the science and technology of a particular field, it is essential to acquire the literacy related to technology management.
Through this lecture, students will understand the role of science and technology in the society, the process of creating the innovation, about the policies and systems that support the science and technology innovation.

Class 2 Prof. Goto; This lecture provides a definition of innovation based on economics and examines outcomes of innovation from perspectives of productivity and corporate value.
Class 3 Prof. Ikegami; Invention of nuclear energy and its application changed the human history fundamentally. This lecture will overview decision-making process of the Manhattan Project that developed the atomic bomb and its use as well as nuclear energy ("Atoms for peace"), and explore the human historical agenda, how to control and manage nuclear energy, technology and material.

Class 5 Prof. Saijo; Communication design for innovation is an indispensable part of diffusion of innovation. This lecture aims to provide basic knowledge of communication design and discourse management to understand the process of diffusion of innovation.
Class 6 Prof. Hashimoto; This lecture provides the basic understanding of Innovation Policy in Japan and U.S., including Intellectual Property Right Policy and Corporate strategy.
Class 7 Prof. Hidaka;
Through understanding the role of public policy, ICT, and communication skills for realizing innovation, students will be able to consider the relationship between society and science/technology that students are learning.
