This English lecture course provides various career plans for international students who will work for academia and industry locally and/or internationally in the near future, considering an on-going paradigm shift in scientific research under circumstance changes around scientists and engineers. This is regarded as a pre-course of the doctorial lecture course entitled “Strategy for Balancing Career, Personality, and Life Style.” All the four instructors have had long-term experiences of research and business internationally. Based on their experiences, they teach international career developments and its necessity, as well as various skills.
This lecture course presents general knowledge about methods and/or ways for thinking about future career plans and solving broad-range issues that will be encountered in academia and industry locally and/or internationally. It also provides a comprehensive discussion on enhancing communication ability and human relations, rendering appropriate examples. The aim of this lecture course is to enable the students to acquire the general knowledge and various skills for developing international career plans.

This lecture course consists mainly of the following three pillars; attending lectures, joining open and/or group discussions, and submitting reports. Appropriate examples given by the individual instructors enable the students to acquire and develop technical skills and to enhance communication ability and human relations in a world of research or business. The four instructors with different expertise share the seven lectures, each of which spends 100 minutes per lecture. The students are required for submitting reports and joining open and/or group discussions.
