Course description and aims

Active managers from foreign companies based overseas belonging to a variety of industries are invited to give lectures on the business interests of each company, as well as initiatives, thinking, and values regarding research and development, and the talent and qualifications expected to contribute to value creation. Regardless of whether students join Japanese or foreign firms, they will certainly be active on the global stage. In addition, competing firms are multinational. By helping students heading for this arena to understand already as a student what these global ventures with an information deficit are like, and what sort of talent they look for, students will be able to make accurate decisions as they think about their future career.

Student learning outcomes

Students will learn through this course to understand the circumstances in all sorts of industries, the activities, ways of thinking, etc. of leading global companies in all sorts of industries. Students also gain a deeper understanding of qualifications, values, and behavioral patterns expected from global talent.
