Course description and aims

National Course of Study (NCoS) of the junior high school announced in March 2017 is fully implemented from 2021, and the NCoS of high school announced in March 2018 is phased in according to the annual progress from 2022. From the perspective of developing the qualities and abilities to think mathematically through elementary school, junior high school, and high school, NCoS intends to reflect the process of finding and solving problems in the real world and the world of mathematics in the learning process. At the same time, efforts are being made to further enhance mathematical activities. In this class, we will examine each area that constitutes the content of junior high school mathematics and the content of high school mathematics.

Student learning outcomes

The goals of (1)-1) 2) 4) of the teacher training core curriculum are related and handled as follows.
・"Numbers and formulas," "Figures," "Functions," and "Utilization of data" in junior high school mathematics, and "Numbers and formulas," "Figures and light weights," "Quadratic functions," and "Data utilization" in high school mathematics in the course of study Acquire the goals and main contents of each unit of "Analysis," as well as the overall structure.
・In relation to the above, students will not only understand the relationship between individual learning content and academic fields, but also learn teaching material research methods and teaching methods so that they can be applied to everyday problems.
・In relation to the above, learn how to teach and evaluate the mathematical way of thinking and thinking necessary for self-study of advanced content in exploratory activities.
