The aim of this course is to help students develop the ability to gather information directly in Japanese and to present what they have researched though company analysis. In addition, students are expected to acquire the ability to analyze Japanese companies, as well as to learn various aspects of Japanese cultures and traditions through reading and discussion.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) gather first-hand information about Japanese companies;
2) effectively present the company they researched in Japanese;
3) consider working and developing own careers in Japan.

Students are expected to read materials and gather information about Japanese companies in advance and come to class well prepared to share their ideas and knowledge. Discussion, presentation and writing assignment will be conducted in each lesson. Students are required to attend every class, to complete the worksheet, to make the final presentation and to interview.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.

Assessment will be conducted based on class participation (50%), presentation (30%) and final report (20%).
