This course is for students who have completed Intermediate Japanese 5-6, as well as for students who have achieved JLPT N2 level.
The aim of this course is to help students:
1) learn the knowledge of reading strategies and acquire effective reading skills through focused reading practices using various types of works;
2) practice how to present the content of the information they have chosen based on their interest to other students along with their opinions.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) read and understand complicated Japanese;
2) discuss a wide range of topics and write reports.

Each lesson will focus on a different topic. Students are required to attend every class and to take the final exam (mandatory).

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes each for preparing for and reviewing each class (including the time spent for assignments) by referring to textbooks and other course materials.
