This course aims to acquire
- presentation skills in Japanese and
- cross-cultural understanding
through discussion on different cultures from various point of view.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) describe their own culture and society,
2) understand the background to cultural difference,
3) give a presentation about Japanese culture and society from their point of view.

Topics change in every lesson. Every lesson contains a discussion. Classroom participation and the final exam. are mandatory.

Class 4 | Students' presentation 1 | Prepare text and visual materials to demonstrate the students' home countries. |
Class 5 | Students' presentation 2 | Prepare text and visual materials to demonstrate the students' home countries. |
Class 6 | Students' presentation 3 | Prepare text and visual materials to demonstrate the students' home countries. |

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.

Assessment will be conducted based on student's presentation(30%), discussions(20%) and a final exam.(50%).
