The aims of this course is to acquire advanced academic Japanese skills. specifically, you will learn how to discuss issues and summarize the argument in the discussion on a scientist who had an impact on you.
By the end of this course, students will be able to acquire a basic skill that allows you to organize a seminar: how to control audience's opinions; how to summarize issues in discussions.

Class will be conducted with pairs or small groups. Class will start with lecture, followed by pair work. Students will make a presentation of the discussion outcome.

|Class 2||Do research on the life of a scientist who affects your life.||Analyze the differences between a discussion in a seminar and a discussion which you have ever experiened.|

Assessment will be conducted based on student's attendance, discussions, a final report or a presentation.
