Course description and aims

This course is for students who have already completed elementary Japanese. We aim to improve listening/speaking skills of lower intermediate Japanese through familiar topics.

Student learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students should be able to: 1) improve accuracy in listening, 2) develop appropriate expressions of spoken Japanese used in real life, 3) learn how to provide a comprehensible explanation. The most important thing is that after 7 weeks, each of you would have achieved your own goal and feel your listening/speaking skills have improved.

Class flow

We will practice accurate listening, natural conversation, and clear explanations on familiar subjects following the textbook. Quizzes and homework will be assigned.
