Course description and aims

In this course students develop conversation skills which is learned in Russian Conversation: Advanced Course 2 .
The aim of this course is development of oral skills, so that students will be able to communicate effectively in varaious everyday situations, speak about themselves, talk their opinion and various topics of Russian and Japanese culture.

Student learning outcomes

At the end of this course, studentsa will be able to:
1)communicate in various everyday situations, 2)speak about themselves, 3) talk their opinion, 4)talk about various topics of Russian and Japanese culture.

Class flow

At the beginning of each class, students learn model dialogues by videos, CDs, and motion pictures. Using these materials and handouts provided by the instructor, the instructor and students train conversation in Russian. During the third quarter in 2022, the classes are conducted on Zoom.

Out-of-Class Study Time (Preparation and Review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
