The main goal of this course is to send students to universities abroad so that they can improve their English language skills, especially the practical communication skills necessary for global scientists and engineers. In order to enhance students' learning, we will provide them with preparation sessions before they go abroad, and offer review sessions after they return to Tokyo Tech.
This course is offered as an Overseas Study or International Internship Program of the Global Scientists and Engineers Course, and credits in this course obtained by sedond-year-, third-year-, and fourth-year students will be counted as partial fulfillment of the requirements for completion of the Overseas Study or International Internship Program. This course will give students a chance to try to improve their English language skills, which they have learned in English 1 through English 8, in situ overseas.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
・Make presentations in English on topics of their own choosing.
・Communicate effectively in English.
