A number of Tokyo Tech courses require students to make videos for their homework but to our knowledge few courses teache students how to make videos using video story-telling. Please enroll in this course if you are interested in learning how to make educational videos and video story-telling. This course uses online materials to learn about educational technology (edtech), educational video planning, production and editing to create a video. Several lectures will be held in a classroom on the Tokyo Tech Ookayama related to hands-on video production. This course is supported by Tokyo Tech's Center for innovative teaching and learning and periodically may make use of its facilities. Students will make two videos during the class.

First class will be an online introductory lecture afterwards online learning materials are studied individually and delivered via lecture, video-making group work and final project. Class flow will be adjusted based upon students progress.

English conversation ability is needed, familiarity with online learning (MOOCs, SPOC), video shooting and video editing software are helpful, ability to work in an online group to create an educational video and plan a group project is helpful.
