In this course students will study about the Japanese Civil Code, as one of the most important Japanese law. This lecture credit is correspond to the "Civil Law" credit that is required to entry to the official professional exams. Students who are interested in Intellectual Property Law are recommended to study Civil Code too. Students will be accustomed to use the Code book, "Roppo", helping study Japanese laws that relating to students future works.
To understand the structure of the Civil Code and Basic legal knowledge. This lecture covers over all themes of civil law, including the general provisions, property, securities, contract law, tort, family law(family and testament).

This course will welcome students who are not accustomed to Japanese-Chinese characters. Slides will be contain English terms as possible.

For foreign students. This lecture is focusing on Japanese Civil Code. Some part may be common to your countries legal system but other may be totally different. Please prepare your countries introductory text book for contract law. It is helpful for your study.
