This course gives an overview of various kinds of media art. After appreciating many master pieces, you will create your own artworks on the theme of "realizing one of Draemon's items". You will learn how to present future visions through artworks and will fell its possibilities.
This course has three aims. The first is to get familiar with media art. The second is to understand the influence of development of technology on human body image and ethics. The third is to experience artistic creation.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Obtain an artistic thinking and creativity which can be applied to an scientific research.
2) Analytically and comprehensively convey their aesthetical impressions to others.
3) Grasp multiple meanings of works of art through discussions with others.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
