This course is to facilitate students’ understanding and ability of leadership. These will be built on fundamental abilities to read, write and listen, gained from 100-300 courses mainly provided by ILA.
Desirable leadership can be unstable, infinitive and suddenly change with the times and places. This course, then, deals with necessary fundamental and effective skills for leadership which students may effectively use in their future carrier, including presentation, facilitation, reading and peer-reviewing.
At the end of this course, students will be able to;

At the beginning of every class, the learning activity and tasks are explained. Then, students are required to solve exercise problems and drills related to the lecture given that day.

|Class 1||Intoduction, Difference in leader and leadership, Self- and Mutual- introduction. Discussion on effects of being late in class.||Understand basic activities in the class and fundamentals of leadership|
|Class 2||Dialogue of leadership through the World Café method with use of Entakun table.||Understand leadership|
|Class 3||Groupwork for understanding consensus building||Consider what fascilitate and obstruct consensus building, Complete the sheet of the groupwork for next week activity.|
|Class 4||Review of the groupwork for consensus building with group discussion||Summarize the discussion and write an essay based on the summary. Reading part for the 6th class is determined.|
|Class 5||Thinking up an new idea by group work: Divergence and Convergence with experience of brainstorming and KJ methods||Understand brainstroming and KJ method. Summary of the reading part should be prepared for the next week activity.|
|Class 6||Sharing the contexts in several books about leadership through Zigsaw method||Understand current contents in leadership. Essay (around 500 words) should be written for peer review in the next week.|
|Class 7||Peer-review activity on the essay.||Understand peer-reviewing. Edit own essay (around 500 words) based on the peer-review and one sheet presentation should be prepared for the next week.|
|Class 8||Presentation with one sheet paper to share the knowledge of leadership in own group.||Summarize leadership and its importance for predicted carrier of students .|
Students will be assessed on their understanding and commitment for classes including short essay written at the end of each class (60pts), essay for cunsensus building (20pts), and the last essay for leadership. Students who are absent from the class three or more times are not given the credit. Ask instructor when a student is absent from the class due to attending a scientific meeting. Writing a short essay will be required to add some points to substitute the commitment points.
No prerequisistes, but there are a limitatoin of the number of students.
No classes will be given on April 5 (Wed) because of the orientation sessions for incoming first-year students. Second year and above graduate students do not need to attend these orientation sessions.
