Course description and aims

As decreasing the number of children, the problem of health and living long become more and more polular. To maintain the nations health, the medical system play an important role. To maintain health of worker and childrenin a family and to maintain health of retired, it is important to study about the needs of medical services and establishing the medical service and practicing these institutional practicion. In this class, the specialists in this field will teach class by class. On Monday class, we forcuse the income and gaps of receiving medical service, so called access to medical service. Om Thusday Class, we forcuse on the system of medical service in Japan and introducing those of the foreign develoved countries.
The purpose of this course is to understand the implovement of health of individual and society a whole by studying the mdical system and medical servicere. It is important to understand the role of government, local government, entrepreners on maitaining the health of people considering various factors for example, life style, work style, income, retired or aged.

Class flow

Three specialists are in charge of this class. Nishimura will deal with the problems relating to life style, work style and health. Otsu will deal with the problem of income inequality and access to medical services, Prof Ogata will deal with Japanese medical system.
