Course description and aims

How has the description of nature been made in human history? In this lecture, we will analyze the scientific style of some literature.

We plan to decide the literature to read in the first lecture.

Candidates: Aristotle's "On the Heavens", Copernicus' "The Rotation of the Celestial Spheres", Galileo's "The Sidereal Messenger", Kepler's "New Astronomy", Descartes' "Philosophical Principles", Alexander von Humboldt's "Cosmos", etc.
