The fundamental theories of water flow and the impact of flow on the water environment are taught. First, based on fluid mechanics, the mathematical expression of environmental water flow is lectured. Then, modeling of the water flow in actual rivers and lakes is taught. Finally, some distinctive flows observed in the actual environment are introduced and their theoretical backgrounds are discussed.
Generally, water flow takes a dominant role in the spatial transportation of various substances in actual water environments such as rivers and lakes. This class aims to provide a foundation to understand the various phenomena occurring in the water environment.
