This course focuses on soil dynamics and seismic design of building foundations.
This course aims to learn knowledge of geotechnical earthquake engineering, soil dynamic, seismic earth pressure, soil-structure interaction and soil liquefaction. Additionaly, seismic design of building foundations are lectured.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Explain dynamic properties of soill, seismic earth pressure and soil-structure interaction.
2) Have an understanding of site response and seismic design of building foundations
Soil dynamic, Building foundations, Soil liquefaction
✔ Specialist skills | Intercultural skills | Communication skills | Critical thinking skills | ✔ Practical and/or problem-solving skills |
Towards the end of class, students are given exercise problems related to what is taught on that day to solve.
