In this course, students participate actively in mainly practical exercises such as research presentations, discussions, etc., acquire methods of planning, executing, and presenting research in computer science, as well as science communication and carrier development for computer science. In regards to "methods for planning, executing, and presenting research", along with acquiring methods for setting the topic, planning, executing, and evaluating research through discussions concerning one's own research presentation and the research presentation of other classmates, students learn how to summarize research presentation (presentations and articles) and methods for research proposals. Furthermore, through interdisciplinary and intercultural discussions with exchange students about research, students enhance their interdisciplinary and international communication skills. With regards to "science communication and career development", students consider the role of researchers in society and careers made possible by mastering computer science.
The objective of this course is for students to acquire the skills in research methodology, research presentation, international communication, etc. that doctoral students should have acquired by the time they complete their degrees, by participating actively in the course.
Students will acquire the following skills attending this course.
