Course description and aims

Students will conduct to research development for design of material and material process in company and get the opportunities to investigate the actual issues they should solve.

Student learning outcomes

This aims to cultivate the ability of finding and solving issues in academic or industrial research development as students can explain the motivation and detail of modeling and simulation to researchers or engineers and utilize to bring up the researchers cultivating a new research filed (A2D and A3D), engineers making dramatic development in social and industry (P2D and P3D).

Class flow

Students will stay in Japanese company for six weeks and conduct to research development for design of material and material process.

Class 1 1) To Set a topics for research development in company 2) Literature review and data processing for technical background of targets 3) Modeling and simulation regarding to selection of materials and solvent properties 4) Optimization of operation condition in material process 5) Giving a proposal for solving issues targeted. 6) To give the presentation regarding to the results Setting the topic on research development and reporting the results.

Scoring by the presentation of the results of research development in company: ability to explain the motivation and detail of modeling and simulation to researchers or engineers and utilize to bring up the researchers cultivating a new research filed (A2D and A3D), engineers making dramatic development in social and industry (P2D and P3D).
