First half of the course, knowledge concerning fundamentals on physical principles and mesurement methods used for the surfaces characterisation are given. Then, for understanding fundamental properties of organic materials (conducting, optical, and surface properties), fundamental concepts of energy bands, charge transfer, and optics are lectured.
Understand energy band and conduction in organic materials. Determine appropriate analytical techniques for surface analysis and applications.
Organic Conductors, Organic Electronics, scanning probe microscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, nonlinear optical spectroscopy
|Intercultural skills||Communication skills||Specialist skills||Critical thinking skills||Practical and/or problem-solving skills|
At the beginning of each class, solutions to exercise problems assigned during the previous class are reviewed. Towards the end of class, students are given exercise problems related to what is taught on that day to solve. Before coming to class, students should read the course schedule and check what topics will be covered. Required learning should be completed outside of the classroom for preparation and review purposes.
