Course description and aims

[Course outline] Students will hold discussions with researchers from universities and private industry, and visit research institutes and factories, for element technology and plant design related to chemical engineering, giving a report at report meetings.
[Course goal] Students are expected to develop communication skills, implementation skills, problem solving skills, and international sophistication in addition to expertise in discussions with researchers from universities and private industry.

[Course objectives] By taking this course, students will:
1) Improve their expertise in the development of element technology and factory design related to chemical engineering.
2) Through discussions with researchers from universities and companies, students will improve their communication skills, implementation skills, problem solving skills, and international sophistication.

(1) Grow up the abilities concerning development of elemental techniques and process design on chemical engineering (2) Grow up the abilities of communication, practical skill, solving problems and global culture.

Assessment criteria and methods

Students are evaluated based on reports checking comprehension of the development of element technology and process design that leverage knowledge in chemical engineering, as well as report meetings.
