[Course outline]
In this graduate course in applied chemistry, students will participate in R&D activities at external science and engineering education institutes, and private industry related to chemistry and applied chemistry, whether Japanese or foreign, with credits awarded for experiencing actual studies.
In this course, the academic supervisor and coordinator of the on-campus program are at the forefront of supporting sending students to overseas universities, companies, and research institutes.
[Course goals]
The industry field related to Japan's chemical industry is an important technological field that underpins international society. It is important for students to get the opportunity to actively learn actual industry forms, and gather experience cooperating with people from other cultures and fields in contributing to the discovery and resolution of new problems. Through experience in external science and engineering education and private industry, students in this course will enhance their general knowledge of advanced research and product development. Students are expected to hone the skills necessary for future researchers and engineers by studying the nature of real things.
Develop international skills with student's own perspective.
Internship, short term study abroad program, chemical industry, international experience, international study, project-based learning
✔ Specialist skills | ✔ Intercultural skills | ✔ Communication skills | Critical thinking skills | Practical and/or problem-solving skills |
This course allows students to freely choose a topic without being constrained by prescriptive concepts such as lecture courses. Students will choose a topic in consultation with their academic supervisor. If choosing an exchange program offered by the university, students should consult with their coordinator.
