Affect may occur as individual experiences. However, in contexts with multiple persons, affect may play social rolls such as media or information. This class try to explore how affect may work in social contexts.
Students are expected to explore various meanings of affects in social context through group and class discussions. Students learn the fundamental knowledge on affect and related topics, but this class does not emphasize learning the knowledge. Rather, students are encourage to broaden and deepen the considerations on affect in different contexts from what they have ever considered.
