Currently, our human society, especially industry requires human resources capable of creating pioneering social value from new ideas to realize a happier and more prosperous society with responding to uncertainties of ever-changing society and economy. This lecture aims to learn the fundamentals of "design thinking" indispensable for future business leaders as one of the approaches to effective innovation creation and to promote "creative ability to discover and solve new problems". In the lecture, students learn the process and method of design thinking, through group exercises and experience the process (survey/observation, idea creation, prototyping, story-telling) of finding solutions for given subjects.
Students will be able to understand the design thinking method and can apply it for suggesting solutions to surrounding problems.
Students can acquire facilitation skills through communication and discussion in the group.
Students will be able to visualize ideas quickly and effectively appeal them.

In the first half of the lesson, we learn about the concept and method of “design thinking”. In the second half, we attempt to propose propose solutions to given tasks through group works. The students learn deeper the essence of “design thinking” by applying the learned processes and methods step by step.
