[Overview] The instructor in this course will teach the basics of industrial engineering comprised of Fundamentals of Production Technology, Quality and Operations Management, as well as Welding and Joining.
The instructor in Fundamentals of Production Technology will explain the principles of machining based on theoretical analysis.
The instructor in Quality and Operations Management will explain the fundamentals of operations management.
The instructor in Welding and Joining will explain the principles of joining.
In addition, students will complete a micro-internship at the Thailand Science Park to experience the research activities of the Thailand National Science and Technology Development Agency.
[Aims] The aim of this course is to encourage students to gain a comprehensive understanding of industrial engineering, from processing principles to production management.
By taking this course, students will acquire the knowledge on processing, and production management techniques necessary at production sites. At the same time, they will conduct research activities of the Thailand National Science and Technology Development Agency together with Thai researchers, and learn logical English communication skills.

Students will visit Thailand, taking an intensive lecture series; either Class 1 to 5 (1 week) , 6 to 10 (1 week), or 11 to 15 (1 week) of the course schedule, while belonging to one of the laboratories of the NSTDA at their location, conducting research activities together with Thai researchers.
