Course description and aims

This course consists of three one-week intensive courses: "Basics of CAD", "Basics of CAE" and "CAE Model", offered in the AE course of TAIST (Thai Advanced Institute of Technology) in Thailand, and is offered to Tokyo Tech students going there for a short stay. They are required to take one of the three intensive courses and participate in internship activities at NSTDA (Thai National Advanced Science and Technology Development Agency). See the syllabus of "Basics of Automotive Design A" for more details on the intensive courses.
The aim of this course is for students to gain international experience along with the professional knowledge provided in the three lecture courses.

Student learning outcomes

The target of this course is as follows.
1. Study one of the three courses, "Basics of CAD", "Basics of CAE", or "CAE Model".
2. Experience international activities and communication in Thailand.

Based on a one-week course achievement test, exercises, internship, and presentation along with a report on the short-stay after coming back to Tokyo Tech.
