Course description and aims

This course is designed for basic training on planning and designing open space in city.

Student learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1.Explain the various meaning of open space in a city.
2.Understand design vocabulary of open space.
3.Understand the process of visualizing ideas through group discussion.

Class flow

This is a two-quarter long course, and this class meets once a week.
This course consists of 3 sessions, and a student is required to carry out group discussion, sketch and presentation at each session.
