[Description] A simulated project to design and construct a large-scale production plant related to international development engineering is conducted under given conditions and specifications.
[Aims] Students survey and investigate information required for the project, and present the results and discuss with instructors and other students, in order to understand the importance of engineering.
After studying this subject, the students should:
- Take a general view of overall project.
- Synthesize preliminary designs of production process.
- Propose preliminary designs for location and arrangement planning.
- carry out a basic and simple environmental impact assessment
- carry out a basic financial and economic analysis

The students are separated into several groups of six to seven students. The respective groups carry out the simulated project mentioned above in terms of production process, location, arrangement planning, environmental impact assessment, and financial and economic analysis.
Each of eight sessions uses continuous two session-hours (about three hours).
