This course focuses on advanced research topics for intelligent mechanical systems in which useful functions are integrated and introduces their research methods and trends in the fields, which provides fundamental knowledge for student's research activities. As the topics, precision motion systems, micromachines, bio-MEMS and surgery robots are introduced.
Such advanced research studies have been conducted on the basis of the knowledge provided in many basic science courses and major courses The contents, the methods and the trends introduced in this course will help the students determine the orientation of their future research activities.
At the end of this course, students will be able to understand basic problems in the introduced research fields and propose some of their solutions.
Precision, motion system, micromachine, nanotechnology bioMEMS, surgery supporting robot, robot hand
