Earth and planetary science is an interdisciplinary field, and graduates of Dept. of Earth and Planetary Sciences are expected to be active in various fields in society. For these purposes, it is indispensable to develop skills to plan their own career and transmit their research results to society. In this course, students will make and carry out a plan for the development of these skills by themselves.
By the end of this course, students will be able to enhance their career development skills by their own learning program.

|Class 1||The course will follow the procedure; 1) students submit learning programs to a subject teacher at the beginning of the quarter 2) students carry out the programs by themselves during the quarter 3) students submit reports to the subject teacher by the end of the quarter 4) the subject teacher assesses the students' attitude and achievements based on the report Examples of the programs: - plan and organize a career seminar by inviting guests who are active in related fields with earth and planetary sciences - plan and organize an outreach activity to give research results back to a community - participate in a training seminar organized by a science museum||To make a plan by oneself, carry out it, and enhance career development skills|
Students' attitude and achievements in enhancing their career development skills will be assessed by reports (100%).
