This course starts with the networking session of the students enrolled in the School of Science followed by two rounds with more practical experience of science through lectures or seminars in four smaller groups divided according to the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Earth and Planetary Science in the School of Science. It emphasizes the importance of self thinking, communication and discussion between students and instructors, or by students themselves. Also it provides an opportunity for students to think what is learning, and furthermore to consider their own future direction.
The students are expected to
1) experience practical researches being conducted in the Departments in the School of Science, and
2) obtain information useful to choose a proper department for further study from sophomore.

The course consists of the networking session of the School of Science followed by two rounds providing practical experience to touch the current research of science in the four groups. The arrangement for dividing students into groups is discussed in the first meeting.

Only students enrolled in the School of Science can register. Also, it is strongly recommended to take "XIP.A101:School of Science Literacy" before registering this course.
Students who have obtained a credit of "Science Seminar" or "Processes for creation in science and technology (1st)" are not eligible to register this course.
