講義の概要とねらい
この授業はTOEFLをまったく知らないあるいは受験したことがない学生向けのTOEFL入門の授業である。英語の四技能のうち、特に聴解力と発話力の基礎力を磨きながら、TOEFLのテスト形式になれることを目指す。また短期留学に必要な基礎的な語彙を学ぶ。
到達目標
・TOEFLの出題形式や内容に親しむこと。
・クラス内でのペアワークやグループワークを通して聴解力と発話力の向上させること。
・短いスピーチや会話を聴き、要点を理解したうえでその要点を短文で要約し英語を使って表現することができること。

授業の進め方
The goal of this class is to help students improve their speaking and listening skills through training for the TOEFL iBT test. Students will practice expressing themselves in English and understanding practical and academic English by taking practice tests in the official TOEFL guidebook, and by participating in conversational activities. The class will be conducted mostly in Japanese, sometimes in English.

Attendance at the first class is compulsory for students planning to take this course.
