講義の概要とねらい
TOEFLのReadingとWritingの各セクションの試験形式・内容に留意しつつ、英語力を向上させる。
TOEFLのReading SectionおよびWriting Sectionの得点を向上させると共に、英語圏の大学で教育を受けるのに必要な英語力を身につけることを目指す。
到達目標
この授業科目は、次のような知識や能力を身につけることを目指す。
・readingおよびwriting セクションを中心にTOEFLテストがどのようなものかをもとに、好成績を残すための取り組みを実践できる。
・学問分野における英語の知識を広げると共に、英語の全般的なreadingとwritingに応用できる。

授業の進め方
授業の前半は教科書のリスニング部分、後半はライティング部分に焦点をあてる。二回目からは、前回の授業内容についての小テストを課す。あわせて、AIツールを使いながらライティングの修正を重ね、自分自身の得意な書き方を見つける。注意）以下の授業計画は変更する可能性がある。

授業時間外学修（予習・復習等）
学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。

Students are assessed on practical English skills and on the degree to which they can use them to communicate with others.
