講義の概要とねらい
今日、大規模な都市化が世界的に進んでいます。本授業の目的は「都市空間」について考えるきっかけをもってもらうために、知識やツールを提供することです。現在の都市論における都市問題や都市への理論的アプローチを知ることによって、履修者それぞれが現在の都市空間を観察する力、またその分析によって理想の未来都市のイメージを具体的に描ける想像力を鍛えること、これが本講義の狙いです。

（１） 都市空間で⾃分の⽇常⽣活を取り囲んでいるエレメントと自分の活動の関係を考えるきっかけをもつこと。
（２） 都市を構成する諸要素とその意味や機能を理解すること
（３） （１）と（２）をベースに、都市の諸問題に目を向け、よりよい都市像のありかたについて具体的に考えるなること

授業の進め方
The course consists of two parts. In the first part, students discuss their weekly assignment to grasp the basic concepts explained in the reading. In the second part, the tutor gives a mini-lecture on the topic of the week and students discuss key ideas about the lecture.

授業時間外学修（予習・復習等）
学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
