The course teaches global environmental issues, safety science, risk assessment for chemical hazards, environmental policy, environmental economics, environmental assessment, resources and waste, recycling-oriented society, energy problems, and sustainable society.
This will allow students understand safety and environmental issues in the world.
By the end of this course, students will:

At the each class, a topic in course schedule is introduced by a lecturer. During the class, students are given exercise problems related to the lecture given that day. Attendance is taken in every class.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
Course materials are provided through OCW-i.
Annual reports made by Japanese Ministry of the Environment, e-leanings that are provided by JST, etc.
Exercise problems in each class (40%) and a final exam (60%)
No prerequisites are necessary.
