Course description and aims

This lecture focuses on start-ups and entrepreneurship, which are essential for the social implementation of technology and innovation.
In order for cutting-edge technologies created at universities/public institutions to be turned into products and services, start-ups, which are not existing companies, are often the innovators. This lecture provides basic knowledge of start-ups and a practical group exercise for undergraduate students who aim to initiate a business in the future, or who may be involved in or interested in the world. This lecture mainly deals with case presentations by external innovators/entrepreneurs.

This lecture aims to provide students with the mindset and a basic knowledge required for entrepreneurs and innovators.

Class flow

The staff lecturer gives basic skills at the beginning of the course. Case studies will be conducted based on the lectures given by external lecturers at each session. Finally, group discussion and presentations will be held as the quarter-end examination.
