Course description and aims

This course introduces on health-related theories, remarks and observations, in order to think and judge what is good for health and to understand underlying mechanisms.

Student learning outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1) Have an understanding of basic sciences related to health-related and biological sciences.
2) Design a preferable lifestyle based on scientific evidence.
3) Using health-related knowledge, tackle practical health issues by applying knowledge acquired through this course.

Before coming to class, students should read the course schedule and check what topics will be covered and should have questions that need discussing.
Attendance is taken in every class.

Class 6 Exercise and brain function Understanding the effect of exercise on brain function.
Class 7 Sports performance improvement and nutrition Understanding nutritional support to improve sports performance.
