Course description and aims

Exchange students that come to Japan for the one year course YFR (YSEP Focused on Research) of the YSEP (Young Scientist Exchange Program) will belong to one of our research labs related to their specialization for one year, and learn based on research activities under the guidance of the academic supervisor from their research labs.
The goal of this course is for students to be given one specific research topic from the academic supervisor, and by researching and studying it, to learn deep knowledge and related knowledge of a specific research topic, as well as learning the methodology and skills of research.

Student learning outcomes

Through issues with a specific research topic and invention and development activities, students will acquire a deep knowledge of correlations, and present their research findings at a presentation meeting at the end of the course.

Class flow

Students belong to a research lab for half a year as a Tokyo Tech exchange student from the YFR course, and as with "Graduation research", the final education course for the traditional and trusted bachelor's degree at a Japanese university, students will independently engage in research under the guidance of their academic supervisor.
