Course description and aims

International exchange students participating in the Tokyo Tech Summer Program are to tackle their research projects which are decided through the discussion of their academic supervisors at Tokyo Tech before coming to Japan.
The aim of this project is, first of all, to acquire specific knowledge of their own fields, to master their experimental skills and to understand the feature of research activities done at Tokyo Tech. In addition to those aims, the international students are expected to enhance their relationship with Tokyo Tech local students of the same laboratory through the collaborative work and other lab activities.

Student learning outcomes

Summer Program participants will engage in their research project every day. They are to sum up the result of their research by the final (tenth) week of the program and present it at the final presentation session.

Class flow

Students will tackle their research projects under the guidance of their Tokyo Tech supervisors based on the Research Plan. In going on with their research projects, students are expected to cooperate with their lab mates, to show creatively and spontaneity of their own.
