Course description and aims

Tokyo Tech provides various international study programs with overseas universities and institutions, in this course study abroad or an international research internship is undertaken through the international program or international collaboration to deepen the knowledge and expertise related to global science and technology. This specific program is designed for the period of more than two weeks. Prior to the registration of the program, students should submit their study plan and obtain the approval of the instructor. In principle, the students participating in this course are required to submit a report and give a presentation after completing the internship.
 By participating in an overseas exchange or internship program and having cross-cultural communication, students can gain an understanding of society and lifestyles outside of Japan, which will give them an international perspective.

Student learning outcomes

Through a short term international study program, students will deepen their knowledge and expertise related to global science and technology. By participating in an overseas exchange or internship program and having cross-cultural communication, students will gain an understanding of cultural and social background and various environments outside of Japan, and broaden their international perspective and develop global awareness for the future career.

Class flow

Students participate in the international exchange or study program organized by Tokyo Tech and study and/or conduct research works in overseas universities or institutions. After completion of the overseas study, they submit a report and give a presentation.
