Course description and aims

International Students participating in the Tokyo Tech Winter Program tackle their research projects which are decided through the discussion of their academic supervisors at Tokyo Tech before coming to Japan.
The aim of this project is, first of all, to acquire specific knowledge of their own fields, to master experimental skills and to understand the feature of research activities done at Tokyo Tech. In addition to those aims, the international students are expected to enhance relationship with Tokyo Tech local students of the same laboratory through the collaborative works and other lab activities.

Student learning outcomes

Winter program students have to engage in their research project every day enthusiastically. They are to sum up the result of their research by the final (tenth) week of the program so that they can present it at the final presentation session.

Class flow

Students will tackle their research activities under the guidance of their Tokyo Tech supervisors along the Research Plan. In going on with their research projects, students are expected to cooperate with their lab mates, to show creatively and spontaneity of their own.
