Course description and aims
Description: This course grants credits for overseas dispatch programs including advance learning, on-site training of 8 days to less than 2 weeks, a report, and a report session. The main programs included are the short-term overseas dispatch program of the Global Scientists and Engineers Course, and the AOTULE summer program (Indonesia). Students will take classes, visit laboratories, join in students exchanges, and visit companies while at the university.
The course is for first and second year students (Credits cannot be used for the practical overseas dispatch program of the Global Scientists and Engineers Course: It does not fulfill completion requirements for this course).
Aims: Students will develop skills indicated in the student learning outcomes by gathering overseas experience.
Student learning outcomes
Students will develop the skills to act independently, including for overseas risk management.

Plans are for the 2016 super-short-study abroad program of the Global Scientists and Engineers Course, held during summer and spring vacation, to be held in India, Britain, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Germany and Austria, the Philippines, France, and the United States.
