Course description and aims

Title of the Class: Open Early Bird Soccer (Football)
This class aims to enrich your health and physical fitness through enjoying soccer (football) games. As the title of this class indicates, the class is open to everyone. Undergraduate students, graduate students, international students or visiting researchers who stay at Tokyo Tech for several months can join. Students of Tokyo Tech can apply for the course credit of this class. Anyone who do not need the course credit and just want to enjoy playing soccer can come and play anytime (every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM). Because this class is a open course and the number of players (attendees) changes every week, the number of teams and the size of the pitch would be changed depending on the number of players. Those who do not need the course credit can just come to the Tokyo Tech sport field (can be seen from trains) at 9:00 AM on Wednesdays.
The games of the class start from October 5th. Students who need the course credit, please attend the guidance on September 28th (from 9:00 AM at the gymnasium). If there is a international student, the course will be done in English (please accept my strange English). We will be communicating with the common language, "the soccer (football) rule" of FIFA.
Inexperienced players are welcomed.
Football shoes, sox/stockings, and shin guards are required.
We have another same class from 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM on Wednesdays. You can attend the both classes.

Student learning outcomes

Students will learn basic skills such that they are able to accurately demonstrate basic skills in games, and enjoy those sports.
The aim of this course is for students to experience one of the life-long sports and understand "body knowledge" that can be leveraged for maintaining and improving health, and contribute to vitalization of spaces.
