Course description and aims

This course is a mid-term internship at a private company for master's student. Students may receive a credit for practical training at a domestic or overseas company for a period of two weeks or more. Note that this is different from internships, which are primarily company tours for job hunting. The content of the internship must not be duplicated in other courses such as "Seminar". In addition, if there is an internship course that is regarded as a career development course in the graduate major to which the students belong, they should take it first.

The aim of this course is to understand corporate activities, values, work procedures, and employees' attitudes toward their careers by engaging in tasks similar to that of corporate employees in the corporate activities, such as research and development.

The internship period is in principle more than two weeks but less than one month on a full-time equivalent basis, and one credit is earned. The full-time equivalent is basically 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (to be adjusted if slight different at the host company)

Students should not register for the course if they have not yet decided on a company to accept the internship or if there is no prospect that the internship will take place.
if it becomes clear after the course registration that the internship cannot be conducted, the course registration must be cancelled immediately.

The name of this course is changed from "Master’s Research Internship," which was offered in AY2021.
