Course description and aims

・In this course, working adult master's program students(*1) are required to demonstrate that they have acquired the necessary GA required by the university through their work experiences at their workplaces, in order to be able to obtain the necessary credits.
・In this course, each student is required to be able to demonstrate GA equivalent results based on evidence, and will be required to complete an assignment agreed upon in advance between each course and his/her academic supervisor, in a manner required by the course and the supervisor. Based on the results the student submitted, the course evaluates and certifies them for credits. However, the content of the assignment should not be duplicated in other courses such as "Seminar".
・The maximum number of credits that can be earned in Master’s Recurrent Program Advanced Practice is 2 credits in total, for example, 2 credits in total for Master’s Recurrent Program Advanced Practice 1-1 and 1-2, 2 credits in Master’s Recurrent Program Advanced Practice 2. It is also possible to meet the completion requirements of 2 credits and 2GA in combination with other career development courses offered by the Innovation Human Resources Development Organization (IIDP) or each course.
・ If the course certify to earn credits as a result of evaluation, it will submit a written request to IIDP for crediting. IIDP will proceed a procedure for credits, upon receiving the request.


(*1)The term "working adult master’s program student" here does not mean only students who belong to an organization such as a company at the moment, but also those who can be judged by his/her past activities, experiences and records whether he /she has the ability equivalent to GA that other students should acquire through the career development program. (Hereafter, the same applies to this syllabus.)

Working adult master's program students can acquire credits necessary by demonstrating that they have the necessary GA required by the university through their current or previous work experiences.

* Since the GA required for doctoral program students is completely different, it is necessary to make a clear difference from the results and abilities required for the "Doctoral Recurrent Program Advanced Practice" offered for working adult doctoral program students. Keep in mind at the stage of assignment setting and grade evaluation.

Class flow

・Each course and an academic supervisor set and impose each student an assignment that results can be confirmed, by exchanges opinions and agreed with the student in advance.
・ The standard amount of study time a student spends to earn one credit is 45 hours (for example, In the case of a lecture, it is necessary to study for 15 hours at the time of the lecture and 15 hours before and after the lecture.).
・ Examples of an assignment that are considered to be eligible for credit acquisition for "Master's Recurrent Program Advanced Practice" are as follows, but be sure to confirm the arrangements in the course.

・ Presentation results at academic conferences (* 2)
・ Experiences of officers of academic society activities, international conference executive committee, etc.

(* 2) The content of the assignment should not be duplicated in other courses such as "Seminar".


・ Examine whether the content of the assignment corresponds to C0M and C1M, and thoroughly consider the number of credits and the timing of credit acquisition judged from the content by the students, the course, and their academic supervisor.
・ When students agrees on the assignment with the course / their academic supervisor, they also should set a schedule including submit the result of the assignment, certify at the course meeting, and request for credit certification for IIDP. After that, the student file a course registration in Q when the course will send a credit request form to IIDP before the end of its grade report period. If it becomes clear that it is difficult to take the course in the relevant Q after making the registration, the course registration should be canceled immediately and students file a course registration again in proper Q.
・ Students submit the results of solution and achievement for the assignment to the course and their academic supervisor.
・ The course and the academic supervisor evaluates the results. If the course certify to earn credits as a result of evaluation, the course will submit a written request to the Innovator and Inventor Development Platform(IIDP) for crediting.
・IIDP will proceed a procedure for credits, upon receiving the request.
・Students should pay attention to the progress of the procedures in the course and have necessary communication with the course and their academic supervisor so that the credit request form will be sent from the course to IIDP before the end of grade report period of Q.

Assessment criteria and methods

・Based on the results of problem solving and achievement submitted by the students, their academic supervisor will judge the credits and it should be authorized by the course.
・ After that, the course will submit a "credit request form" to IIDP, and IIDP will receive it and proceed procedure for crediting. When submitting a "credit request form" to IIDP, the materials (copy) from the course certification shall be attached as reference materials. For detailed procedures, refer to "Guide for "Master's Recurrent Program Advanced Practice" (edited by IIDP).
