・This course is off-campus internship in the industry for doctoral course students.
・Students learn way of thinking, sense of value and working process in the industry through the actual work experiences such as R&D with members of a private company.
・Credits will be granted by conducting an internship for two weeks or more at domestic and overseas companies. (As a general rule, 2 weeks to 1 month: 1 credit, 1 to 3 months: 2 credits, 3 months or more: 4 credits.) However, the content of the internship should not be duplicated in other courses such as "Seminar".
・Students who wish to take this course and whose internship company is undecided can receive a support of IIDP coordinators when considering a company to receive an internship.
・Expenses such as accommodation and commuting fee may be supported after coordinating with the company within the budget. If an international student conducts an internship in his / her home country (country of his/her nationality), credits will be granted but no financial support will be provided.
・Do not register this course in a situation where there is no prospect of conducting an internship. In addition, if it becomes clear that you cannot conduct an internship after you have registered this course, you should immediately cancel your registration.
・Communication related to this course will be done using the OCWi system.
・Students can understand the reality of activity and the way of thinking in private companies and also realize the difference in R&D between in the university and in the company.
・Students can have an opportunity to review own research doing at the university from the view points of meaning and the role in the society.

Since this course is a medium- to long-term internship, pass / fail is judged. No score evaluation will be given. The viewpoints of the judgement will be made based on
・Monthly report(s)
・Final report
・Evaluation by the professor and by the company staff in charge
・Student should be admitted by their own academic supervisor for the absence from the lab due to conducting an internship.
・Students should join health insurance and accident compensation insurance.
・Students should understand and comply the internship contract and agreement between private companies where they conduct an internship, and Tokyo Tech.
