This lecture is a collaborative program with the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) for doctoral course students of all majors.
This academic year, with the cooperation of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), a total of three days of intensive lectures will be held in 4Q under the theme of "strategic planning for connecting R & D results to businesses."
Students have lectures from managers of the companies, and are divided into groups to set assignments based on the lectures, discuss and make presentations finally. Then they also receive advice from lecturers.
By taking this course, you can directly learn about the business, issues, and solutions in the actual company from the lecturers who are active in the front line of the company. In addition, it is expected that each student's own ideas and horizons will be expanded through discussions, summarization, and presentations in a group of students with different knowledge and ideas.
The maximum number of students will be 25 for group discussions. Please note that if the number of students registered reaches 25, no further students may be able to take the course.
Distribution of lecture materials, submission of reports, and communication related to lectures will be done using the OCWi system.
Through lectures by lecturers from a private company, students can understand of such as R&D, business, issues in industry, approaches to solutions, values and perspectives.
In a group consisting of members with different backgrounds, students can collectively assert your own opinions on the tasks set based on the lectures, listen to the opinions of others, make corrections, and reach a conclusion, receiving comments and advices from lecturer and facilitators. By acting as a team, students can deepen their understanding of the assignments and gain hands-on experience of generating results through group activities.

The target class size is 25 students or less due to have group works. In case that the number of applicants for the course exceeds 25, students who apply the course after that may not take the course.
3 days intensive lectures in 4Q.
Lectures will be held at Musashino R&D Center, Musashino-shi or Granpark Tower, Minato-ku of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT).
Depending on the infection status of the COVID-19, the course plan may be changed or the lecture location may be changed to online lectures by ZOOM.

Students are evaluated based on reports for each day about new awareness and original ideas about lectures and group work (70%), and substantial contributions to group activities as the roles such as leader, presenter, and record taker (30%).
Due to doing group works, Japanese language skill enough to understand daily conversations and contribute group works of this course is required.
The maximum class size is 25 students due to have group discussions. In case that the number of students registered for the course reaches 25, students who apply the course after that may not take the course.
Students are required to agree by signature to the contents of "Agreement on PLP Advanced Practice" jointly signed between NTT and Tokyo Tech. The contents mainly are related to non-disclosure agreement and intellectual property rights.
Students who belong to companies or organizations disclose the company or organization names to NTT prior to starting of the course.
